The West Bay Yacht Club offers everything you would expect from a yacht club, including racing, cruising, a club mooring and a full social calendar, at a fraction of the usual cost. Membership is renewed each year and is open to sailors and non-sailors alike.

Affordable Membership: Annual dues are $150. New members pay a one-time $100 new-member fee in their first year, for a total of $250. Membership includes access to every club activity: the Summer and Fall racing series and annual regattas, the cruising program, social events and use of the club mooring at Dutch Harbor.

Active Racing Program: Twelve Monday-evening races in the Summer Series, a four-race Fall Series and annual regattas such as the JFK Memorial “Around the Island” Race and the Pumpkin Patch Regatta, all scored under PHRF so every boat has a fair chance. Members without a boat are always welcome as crew.

Scenic Cruises: Member-organized raft-ups and harbor hops from June through October to destinations such as Newport’s Brenton Cove, historic Bristol Harbor and Wickford. Cruises are relaxed and social, and open to every level of experience.

Reciprocal Privileges: Through our membership in the Yachting Club of America, WBYC members enjoy reciprocal privileges at participating yacht clubs across the country.

Club Mooring: Members may use the WBYC mooring at Dutch Harbor. Up to three boats can raft on the mooring, weather permitting. Logging each night online helps the club keep the mooring from season to season.

Social Calendar: Year-round gatherings including the St. Patrick’s Day Dinner, the Spring Breakfast, the Racing Awards Luncheon and the Holiday Party.

Welcoming Community: Our members are neighbors, families and lifelong friends, not just sailors, and new members are made to feel at home from their very first event.
